Description
Police responded to the UFE Wall Street strike with a heavy presence. Ostensibly, they were sent to protect picketers from dangerous Financial District traffic. In reality, they were protecting the interests of the Wall Street bosses. Many picketers were met with police violence during the course of the demonstration.
