Description
Picketers took to this defensive formation as they marched in the rain. The solid wall of pickets proved too much for the police and so, left, they resorted to violence as, with swinging nightsticks, they attempted to limit the lines. But the New York Cops found out again that brutality has no effect on strikers who know they are right and are determined to win. The next day found the lines just as strong and just as militant.
