The Seafarers Log is the union’s official publication, first issued in February 1939. For the past several decades, the Log has adhered to a monthly schedule (12 editions per year). At various other times, it was published more frequently.

No matter the era or the names on the buildings, every SIU mariner has called Piney Point, Maryland home during their training. From 1967 to present, more than 900 class photos are now available.
